Meagan Monique Good was born on August 8th, 1981 in the Panorama City neighborhood of Los Angeles to Tyra Wardlow-Doyle. Her mother managed her in her teens. Her father Leondis Leon Good is an LAPD police officer. The actress began acting when she was the age of four, following growing up at home in Canyon Country with her siblings. When she was in the beginning stages of her career, she performed as an actor on TV shows such as Doogie Howser Amen and M.D. At the age of 13, she was first cast in the film Friday. In 1997 she got noticed for her part in Eve's Bayou as Cisely Batiste, a troubled teenager. She received her first N.A.A.C.P. nomination for this film. Image Award Nomination. Good took small film roles and television parts during a couple of years prior to transitioning to more mature roles. On Nickelodeon's Cousin Sceeter, she performed the role of Nina. From 1998 through 2001, she appeared as Nina on Nickelodeon's TV show Cousin Skelter. She also had tiny roles in the films House Party to the Last Minute (1998) as well as 3 Strikes (2000). Killmer is originally from Texas and studied at Baylor University, Waco Texas. She obtained a bachelor's degree in the performing arts. The performing arts degree was awarded in 2010. The actress began her screen career during 2010 when she appeared on the web series If Can Dream. Following her appearance in several local plays Kara Killmer made her on-screen debut in 2010 with the pilot episode of Simon Fuller's Hulu series If I Can Dream. The reality show revolved around a group of performers that move into an apartment in Hollywood California.
